Eccles Library
The Eccles library, located on the Lincoln Campus, provides an environment for academic pursuit and personal enrichment for both middle and high school students from grades 6 to 12. The library has a full-time Librarian and a part-time Assistant to assist student and faculty with curriculum support, research and media needs on a daily basis. In addition, a library committee is made up of eight members that meet every trimester to go over issues, problems, events, policies, goals, etc.
Services:
Reference service, database searching, orientations, research assistance, literacy instruction.
Materials:
Eccles library is made up of approximately ten thousand items that consists of books, magazines, newspapers, videos, music, maps, slides, digital and video cameras, smartboard, audio visual equipment, copy machine, laminators, computers and more.
Parent resources are located in the Middle School faculty lounge and can be checked out for a two-week period. Parents can find information on parenting, learning disabilities, gifted adolescents, attention deficit, helping your child with homework, adolescent development, boys’ issues, girls’ issues and much more.
Circulation:
A student I.D. number OR last name is needed to checkout materials.
Loan Policy:
Circulation period is for four weeks on most materials. Reference books may be checked out overnight. Overdue fines are 5¢ per day and overdue reminder notices are sent out weekly. Students with unpaid fines and overdue books, at the end of the school year, will not receive a yearbook. Missing or overdue items will be surcharged five dollars to students for re-cataloging and processing fees.
